How We Picked the Best Power Bank?

As per our view, The Best Powerbank should be durable & portable.
And they must serve high speed & maximum possible power output.

We picked Best Power Bank of 2021 based on these facts:
  • Capacity

Higher the capacity higher power the Power Bank will hold!

Low-capacity power banks are very lightweight.
But they can change your devices roughly once or twice.

While Power banks with a capacity rating of 10,000 mAh and up tend will serve you high capacity.
But they are a bit bulky & costly.

In our view, for normal user & regular devices, A 10,000 mAH one will be apt.

But if your a heavy user & require multiple devices to charge every day, go for 20,000 mAH Capacity.

  • Output and Input

For models with USB-C ports, we chose 15 to 18-watt charging.

For models with USB-A Output or Micro-USB input, we opt for 8 watts or more.

These capacities guarantee top charging (output) and re-energizing (input) speeds.

  • Lightweight

Well, we are always on run!
So we don’t want anything to weigh us down!

The Powe Banks should be lightweight, sleek & sturdy.
That’s how you can slip them in your pockets & run without worrying about damage!

We set the weight cutoff limit of 200-500 gms limit for the 10,000 to 20,000 mAH range.

Although Power Banks are devices for travellers, Power Bank in flight is a total no-no! All of this happened after Samsung phones ominously started catching fire, there came a limitation to the devices and power bank allowed in-flight and power bank Samsung offered were banned.

We suggest that you do your research online. You may buy the Power Bank offline, although you’ll miss out on a lot of discounts .

The question is very relative and depends on your device. Although choosing a Power Bank is not an easy task, here’s some help

•Be informed about your battery and the mobile charger circuit.
•The size is a feature that needs attention. The size of the Power Bank should be equal or greater than the size of your smartphone battery
•Make sure the output voltage is equal or higher than that of your mobile battery charger.
•If you need to charge more than one device at a point in time, make sure you check if the battery bank has more than one output ports.
•Buy devices that are short circuit proof
•Always trust brands. A lot of them offer good quality and higher capacity devices such as: Samsung Power Bank 20000mah, Syska Power Bank20000mah, Sony Power Bank 20000mah, 20000mah mi Power Bank 2i, Reconnect Power Bank, etc.

Every year has a new list of the top 10 Power Banks. Some of the finest Power Banks brands as claimed by top technical magazine, Digit are:
•Xiaomi
•Duracell
•Anker
•Syska
•Lenovo
•Intex
•Ambrane
•Pebble

There are two main forms of lifetime that are associated with Power Banks.

•Charge discharge cycles: Any rechargeable battery will gradually wear out. Normally the lifetime of a battery is quoted in terms of the number of charge discharge cycles it can undergo before its performance falls by a given degree. Some cheaper Power Banks may only have a life of 500 or so charge discharge cycles, but better ones will have lifetimes of many more charge discharge cycles.

•Self-discharge time: All battery cells, whether rechargeable or primary have a certain level of self-discharge. For rechargeable batteries these days with their own control circuitry, a small amount of power is required to keep these circuits alive. As a result, there is only a finite time that a battery will remain charged.

A good Power Bank can hold a charge for up to 6 months with only a small loss of charge, but lower quality ones may only retain a useful charge for about a month. These figures are for room temperature, but storing them outside these temperatures considerably reduces their performance.

While some tablets can accept lower input (1A or 1.5A), the charging is slower and sometimes can only be charged when the tablet is in sleep mode. So, before you throw a fit, here are some things you might want to consider:

o It might be about the cable and not the charger. Get the cable changed and try again.
o Make sure the battery provides 2 amp and above. A 3 amp mobile charger ideally does the trick.
o There might be a compatibility issue: For e.g.: Samsung Tab might need you to use the designated cable and connector.

Various shapes and sizes and sizes are available in Power Banks.
Some are useful as a car mobile charger, some as bike mobile charger.
Follow the instructions at your own risk. The guidelines have been taken from instructibles.com. The same device will not work for iPhone.

The Ambrane PP-20 at discount price was one of the best purchases I ever made. At the price tag of 1499 INR, I got a scratchless, rubber bodied power bank. What was even cooler was the multi-tier circuit protection. Like I am really afraid of electrical products. I always ensure maximum safety when dealing with electrical equipment. Buying the Ambrane PP-20 allows maximum safety while providing quality power bank usage. The type C-input port was also an added benefit. However, I must say that such an amazing product’s quality features blur out due to the lack of the dual charge technology. I would strongly recommend that in the newer versions of the product, this feature is added as a top priority. Just like the dual input feature, it must have the dual charging feature as well. Overall, a great product.

I used to have a Levono laptop, and I loved it. Gladly, my feelings haven’t changed after trying the Lenovo Power bank. What an amazing product it is. The best part is, it is as slim as my smartphone- which makes it easy to carry the device in my pocket. Similarly, the price tag is quite suitable. Being a housewife, I do not have generous amounts to spend on tech products. At the price tag of Rs. 699, this power bank turned out to be the best solution to my problem. Moreover, the ability to charge and get charged at the same time is helpful. I have read reviews online that mention this power bank’s minimal battery life is poor. Well! I hope that does not happen in my case – because I love the product. Put, it is the best return I could get for what I paid.

I am glad that I bought the Syska X110. No doubt, it is one of the best power banks in the market. The best thing I like about this product is that it keeps safe from overcharging and over-discharging. At the same time, I like the durability of the product. Usually, other power banks that I have tried are of cheap plastic material and break easily. However, the ABS material of Syska has impressed me. Still, I would suggest a much-needed change – the charging is too slow. I am a student, and I usually have urgent plans. If the product takes too long to charge, it becomes difficult to use it properly. At the same time, the product can be a shocker to your electricity bill. The output conversion is minimal compared to the input. The firm needs to work on that.

I bought the INTEX IT-PB11K model a few days back. Safe to say, I am extremely happy from my purchase. Excellent product – great functionality. I personally loved the LED indicator on the product. The best part is that the product was suitable for my budget. Furthermore, the design is quite elegant, making it a suitable product to carry to business meetings. Best of all, it charges my phone quickly. I am seriously irritated if it takes ages for my cell to charge. Its a power bank- it should give power. I have tried other power banks before. They were slow and took too long. Moreover, I have dropped my model twice. Safe to say, its more durable than my phone at least – one fall like that will break its screen.

Quick suggestion though – the wire length must be increased. It sometimes become inconvenient to use the powerbank. Good product overall.
